A cat chew with three declared actives, or a fuller daily system?

DoNotAge Pure Pet for Cats combines NMN, SIRT6 Activator and hyaluronic acid in a chicken chew. Hollywood Elixir combines an NAD+ precursor with CoQ10, glutathione, antioxidant vitamins and supporting nutrients in a 17-active powder. 1 2

The choice starts with the different ingredient jobs. DoNotAge pairs an NAD+ starting material with a cellular-maintenance research target and an ingredient found in joint fluid. Hollywood Elixir brings ingredients used in cellular energy production together with complementary antioxidant defenses. For a cat, the next question is equally practical: which serving will actually be eaten?

The cat recipe is separate from the dog formula

Each cat chew declares 50 mg NMN, 65 mg SIRT6 Activator and 13 mg hyaluronic acid. It does not list the MSM or boswellia found in DoNotAge's dog formula. A jar contains 30 chews. 1

The other ingredients are chicken, rice flour, vegetable glycerin, pea fiber, chicken liver, dried yeast, spirulina, vitamin E, rosemary extract and sodium copper chlorophyllin. This is the complete recipe to check when a particular food ingredient matters.

Both DoNotAge's cat chew and Hollywood Elixir list vitamin E and spirulina. Hollywood Elixir's distinction is its specified NR/CoQ10/glutathione-and-vitamin combination, rather than exclusive use of either shared ingredient. 2

One daily chew before a meal

DoNotAge's family guide says one cat chew daily just before a meal, preferably in the morning. Its cat product FAQ also says the chew can be given at any time of day. Both directions specify the same daily amount. A jar therefore lasts 30 days. 1 15

Hollywood Elixir is served with food. Its adult portions are half a sachet below 7 lb, one from 7–30 lb, and two above 30 lb. A 10 lb adult cat takes one full 2.5 g sachet daily. 3

Find out whether the cat accepts it before buying a year’s supply

The visible DoNotAge reviews include cats that enjoy the chew and an elderly cat that refused it. Other owners describe their existing feeding routines. Those differences are useful when choosing a format: a chicken chew is an option to try, not an assurance that every cat will take it. 1

Hollywood Elixir offers a powder for food instead. With either format, observe whether the cat finishes the intended portion. Food left around a supplement, or a partly eaten chew, makes the daily amount harder to count. Acceptance is especially worth establishing before committing to twelve jars in one delivery.

The current sale makes Pure Pet the lower-cost choice

The cat jar is currently $16.70 for 30 chews on the US site. At one chew daily, that is about $0.56 a day. Three jars cover 90 days for $50.10. 1

For a 10 lb adult cat, Hollywood Elixir's $199/90-sachet pack covers the same 90 days at about $2.21 a day. These are one-time USD prices before tax and shipping. 3

Hollywood Elixir is the higher-priced choice here. Its premium buys a different selection: CoQ10 and B vitamins alongside NR, plus glutathione and complementary antioxidant vitamins. The annual Pure Pet offer needs its own calculation because it currently costs more per chew than the sale jars.

“NMN and NR are starting materials for NAD+. NAD+ helps cells use energy from food and also supports cellular-maintenance processes.”

How NAD+ connects food to usable energy

A cat's food supplies fuel, but cells need reactions that make that energy available for work. As nutrients break down, NAD+ accepts electrons and becomes NADH. Those electrons can enter reactions in mitochondria that help produce ATP, the molecule supplying much of the cell's usable energy. 4 5

NMN and NR are different starting materials related to NAD+ production. NAD+ also has uses beyond energy reactions: SIRT6 is a protein that uses it in cellular maintenance, including DNA-repair processes. 9 Our NAD+ for cats guide explains the coenzyme and the distinction between taking a precursor and the work NAD+ does inside a cell.

SIRT6 Activator has a seaweed research background

DoNotAge identifies SIRT6 Activator as fucoidan from Fucus vesiculosus, a brown seaweed. Laboratory studies found that fucoidan could activate the SIRT6 enzyme. 8 9

A 2025 preprint also used fucoidan supplied by DoNotAge.org in an aging study of 80 mice. Male median lifespan increased significantly; the female difference was not significant. Frailty measures improved in both sexes. A coauthor disclosed membership of DoNotAge's scientific advisory board. 10

That is relevant research behind the ingredient's appeal. It remains preclinical: the paper is a preprint and the study tested fucoidan in mice, not the finished cat chew or feline lifespan.

Hollywood Elixir pairs NR with ingredients used in energy production

Hollywood Elixir declares 60 mg NR tartrate, 40 mg of its 98% CoQ10 preparation and 0.5 mg vitamin B2 per full sachet. The NR supplies an NAD+ starting material. 2 4

CoQ10 carries electrons within the machinery producing ATP. B2 supplies coenzymes used in energy production and metabolism. They give the formula additional ingredients for the reactions that make food-derived energy usable. 5 14

Pure Pet's 50 mg NMN and Hollywood Elixir's 60 mg NR tartrate are different materials. Their declared weights cannot establish which serving would raise a cat's NAD+ more.

Glutathione, vitamin E and vitamin C have complementary jobs

Reduced glutathione helps an enzyme convert hydrogen peroxide into water. Vitamin E helps protect membrane fats by interrupting damaging oxidation. Vitamin C can help regenerate vitamin E after its antioxidant work. 6 7

Hollywood Elixir supplies 50 mg reduced glutathione, a vitamin E preparation providing 15 IU, and 10 mg vitamin C per full sachet. Pure Pet also lists vitamin E, without a stated amount. Hollywood Elixir brings that vitamin together with glutathione and vitamin C, giving its energy ingredients a complementary selection for peroxide removal and membrane protection. 1 2

The full formula brings those functions together

Energy production and antioxidant defense are ongoing jobs within the same cell. Hollywood Elixir combines NR, CoQ10 and B2 with glutathione and antioxidant vitamins so those nutritional purposes sit within one daily formulation.

Its remaining selection includes niacin, B6 and a B12 preparation; resveratrol, quercetin, blueberry and a 2% astaxanthin preparation; and yeast beta-glucans, reishi, spirulina and whey protein isolate. 2 The full ingredient declaration shows all 17 forms and amounts, including the concentrations of preparations. It lets you inspect the whole addition to your cat's food instead of choosing solely by the NMN or NR number.

“Glutathione helps remove hydrogen peroxide. Vitamin E helps protect membrane fats, and vitamin C can help regenerate vitamin E.”

Why is hyaluronic acid included in a cat chew?

Hyaluronic acid helps tissues retain water and contributes to the lubricating, viscoelastic properties of joint fluid. It is the joint-fluid ingredient in DoNotAge's three-active cat formula. 11

But its natural role and an oral supplement's effect are different questions. A substance present in a joint does not automatically have the same effect when swallowed, and an injection study would involve a different route. The useful next question is whether oral supplementation has actually been studied in cats—and which complete preparation was used.

There is feline research on an HA-containing blend

A 2024 paper studied Movoflex, a different cat supplement containing eggshell membrane, krill, hyaluronic acid and an astaxanthin source. Its mobility assessment enrolled 71 owners of senior cats for a 60-day follow-up. Owner ratings of general mobility, jumping up and play improved over time; ability to walk did not significantly change. 11

There was no placebo group or veterinarian-led mobility assessment. Virbac funded the research, and all authors were company employees. The study therefore offers observations about that whole blend, not proof that HA alone caused the changes. It cannot establish that DoNotAge's 13 mg HA chew produces the same result.

What can be concluded about the finished cat supplements?

The reviewed evidence does not establish longer life from either finished formula. Laboratory SIRT6 activation, a mouse aging study and an owner-assessed feline blend study answer narrower questions than whether this particular daily cat supplement improves health.

That still leaves concrete differences to choose between: the declared ingredient combination, a chew or a food powder, actual acceptance and repeat cost. Neither recipe should be chosen as a treatment for a new symptom on the strength of these studies.

The annual subscription is not cheaper than today’s sale jars

DoNotAge's annual cat option is 12 jars for $300, delivered in one shipment. Twelve 30-chew jars supply 360 daily servings, not 365. 1

At the current $16.70 sale price, twelve individual jars total $200.40 for the same 360 chews. That is $99.60 less than the displayed annual option: about $0.56 versus $0.83 per day. A future sale price is not guaranteed, but the current offers should be compared as they stand.

Hollywood Elixir separately offers 90 sachets for $189 on a three-month subscription, compared with $199 one time. 3 Judge each plan by its actual quantity, charge and delivery commitment.

What does this add to complete cat food?

Complete-and-balanced food is intended to meet the essential nutritional needs of its stated life stage. Vitamins in that food already count toward the cat's intake. An optional supplement is a separate purchase, not evidence that the regular meal is inadequate. 13

Hollywood Elixir adds a targeted combination of NR, CoQ10 and antioxidant ingredients in a measured serving. Its full system guide explains how that selection fits a daily food routine. Compare the whole recipe with existing supplements too; the decision is what additional formulation you want to provide, rather than simply how many ingredient names you can add.

Check the complete recipe and the quality record

Hollywood Elixir includes chicken flavor/chicken liver and whey protein isolate. Pure Pet's cat chew contains chicken and chicken liver among its carriers. These details matter when the cat has a particular dietary restriction. 1 2

DoNotAge describes a quality guarantee and GMP/ISO 9001 manufacturing standards; the reviewed cat page did not link a readable finished cat-lot report. Ask for a document matching the product and batch. Hollywood Elixir's COA lookup provides a manufacturer-issued batch quality summary, showing the methods and statuses of its individual checks. Read either record for what was actually measured. 1 12

Let the cat’s ordinary habits guide the care conversation

A familiar windowsill, a grooming routine or the way a cat joins you on the sofa can make a change easier to describe. Record what you see, along with whether the supplement serving was finished and whether food or other care changed at the same time.

Those observations can help you explain a concern to the veterinarian; they cannot identify the cause by themselves. A new reluctance to jump or change in grooming deserves that conversation. For another cat-specific ingredient selection, our Renue cat-chew comparison explains its separate NMN-and-fish-oil formula.

Choose a daily system for cellular energy and antioxidant nutrition

Hollywood Elixir brings NR and CoQ10 for cellular-energy nutrition together with glutathione and antioxidant vitamins for cell protection. Its 17-active formulation puts those complementary ingredients into a measured food serving for your cat.

Explore the Hollywood Elixir formula and pack options, then use the adult weight guide to select the daily portion. Review the complete recipe alongside your cat's existing food and care, and make the serving part of a meal it finishes.

FAQ

What is in DoNotAge Pure Pet for Cats?

Each cat chew declares 50 mg NMN, 65 mg SIRT6 Activator and 13 mg hyaluronic acid. The other ingredients include chicken, chicken liver, spirulina and vitamin E. It is a separate recipe from the dog product and does not list the dog formula’s MSM or boswellia.

How many cat chews are given daily?

DoNotAge directs one chew daily, so a 30-chew jar lasts 30 days. Its family guide prefers just before a meal in the morning; the cat product FAQ also permits any time of day. No cat weight-based chew bands are stated in these directions.

What does SIRT6 Activator do?

The ingredient is described as fucoidan from Fucus vesiculosus. Laboratory research found SIRT6 enzyme activation. SIRT6 uses NAD+ in cellular maintenance, including DNA-repair processes; an enzyme finding does not establish that the finished cat chew improves those processes in a cat.

Has Pure Pet been shown to extend feline lifespan?

The sources reviewed here do not establish that result. A preprint studied DoNotAge-supplied fucoidan in mice, with a significant male lifespan finding and lower frailty measures. It did not test the mixed cat chew or cat lifespan.

Has oral hyaluronic acid been studied in cats?

The 2024 paper discussed here studied an HA-containing blend with eggshell membrane, krill and an astaxanthin source. Its owner-assessed mobility phase lacked a placebo group and cannot isolate HA or establish an outcome for DoNotAge’s different recipe.

Does the research establish a bladder-treatment benefit?

The reviewed sources do not establish treatment of bladder disease by the finished Pure Pet cat chew. Studies of different oral mixtures or bladder instillations cannot supply that proof. Urinary symptoms need veterinary assessment; a supplement comparison cannot determine their cause.

Do both formulas contain vitamin E and spirulina?

Yes. DoNotAge lists both among its other ingredients. Hollywood Elixir also includes them, alongside its declared NR, CoQ10, reduced glutathione and vitamin selection. The comparison concerns the full combination and quantities, not exclusive ownership of shared ingredients.

What does 90 days cost for a 10 lb cat?

At the current one-time USD offers, three $16.70 Pure Pet jars cost $50.10 for 90 daily chews. Hollywood Elixir’s $199/90-sachet pack supplies 90 days at one sachet daily for that adult weight. These totals exclude tax and shipping.

Is the annual Pure Pet cat subscription the cheapest current offer?

No. The displayed annual option is $300 for twelve jars. At the current $16.70 sale price, twelve individual jars total $200.40 for the same 360 chews. The annual order arrives in one shipment; the sale may change, so compare the offers available when buying.

What matters when adding either formula to the feeding routine?

Pure Pet is a chicken chew; Hollywood Elixir is a powder for food containing chicken flavor/chicken liver and whey protein isolate. Check the full recipe, appropriate portion and whether the cat finishes it. Complete-and-balanced food remains the nutritional foundation.

Discover LPL-01: How This Fits Into a Larger Feline Longevity System

Aging in cats unfolds quietly. It’s not driven by a single failure, but by gradual shifts across interconnected systems — cellular energy, oxidative balance, immune tone, and tissue integrity — each influencing the others over time.

This article explores one layer of that system. To understand what actually shapes long-term health, you need to step back and look at how these layers interact.

Start with the underlying science:
