Hollywood Elixir® Science Library

Hollywood Elixir begins with two landmark pet aging studies: the 2024 senior dog NAD+ clinical trial and the 9-year Cupp feline longevity study.

Powered by LPL-01, the scientific foundation behind Hollywood Elixir goes beyond these studies — spanning aging science, NAD+ biology, and systems thinking across seminal meta-analyses, including proprietary geroscience frameworks developed with veterinarians and scientists.

Anchored in Landmark Pet-Aging Research

Hollywood Elixir begins with two flagship studies in companion-animal aging: a 9-year feline longevity study and a 2024 senior dog NAD+ clinical trial. Together, they frame the LPL-01 approach to long-horizon, systems-level nutritional support.

The full nutrient blend showed a lower mortality hazard.

Diet 3 cats had 0.39x the hazard of Diet 1 after adjustment for initial age.

Control diet 100% hazard baseline
Multi-nutrient diet 39% hazard

Adapted from Cupp et al. 2006. Cox proportional hazard model adjusted for initial age; Diet 3 vs Diet 1 hazard ratio = 0.386 (p = 0.0042). View Cupp et al. 2006

A 9-year study: one of the clearest nutrition-aging signals in cats.

In a long-term feline feeding study, 90 healthy cats were followed across the remainder of life while receiving one of three diets. The most complete nutrient blend was associated with longer average lifespan and slower age-related decline across multiple health measures.

LPL-01 Integration

LPL-01 translates long-horizon systems nutrition into a daily network for oxidative defense, NAD+ support, mitochondrial function, immune balance, and whole-body vitality.

At 90 days, the full-dose group separated most clearly.

A modern senior dog trial connected NAD+ biology to visible aging support.

In a 2024 RCT, 70 senior dogs with mild to moderate cognitive impairment received placebo, low-dose, or full-dose blend, including an NAD+ precursor and senolytic. At the 3-month endpoint, the full-dose group showed the clearest owner-assessed cognition signal.

Targeting the Biology of Aging

Hollywood Elixir is designed to support multiple biological systems involved in aging, including oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, immune signaling, and cellular repair. These systems do not operate in isolation—they form interconnected networks that influence longevity and resilience.

Canine Gerosciences™

A Veterinary Co-Authored Framework Mapping Canine Aging

The Canine Gerosciences™ framework is a proprietary, reference-grade model developed by La Petite Labs scientists and co-authored with veterinarians. It maps the biology of aging in dogs across six interconnected control systems—covering metabolism, inflammation, cellular defense, and organ function. Built using an explicit evidence-grading system, it distinguishes between established canine data and early-stage or translational research—ensuring no claim exceeds the strength of the evidence.

A Veterinary Co-Authored Framework Mapping Feline Aging

The Feline Gerosciences™ framework is a proprietary, reference-grade model developed by La Petite Labs scientists and co-authored with veterinarians. It maps the biology of aging in cats across six interconnected control systems—adapted for obligate carnivore metabolism, renal vulnerability, and species-specific nutrient dependencies. Built on an explicit evidence-grading system, it distinguishes between established feline data and early-stage or translational research—ensuring no claim exceeds the strength of the evidence.

Canine Gerosciences Evidence System

A structured, node-based map of canine aging biology—linking core physiological systems, intervention pathways, and ingredient-level effects to primary literature. It applies explicit evidence grading (A–D) and pharmacokinetic confidence tagging (PK1–PK3) to distinguish what is proven in dogs from what is inferred or theoretical. Organized across a tiered architecture—from foundational longevity levers to biological control systems, subsystems, and ingredients—it is designed for precise, system-level reasoning rather than surface-level claims.

Feline Gerosciences Evidence System

This Evidence Corpus is a structured, node-based map of feline aging biology—built to reflect the unique metabolic, physiological, and pharmacokinetic characteristics of cats as obligate carnivores. It applies explicit evidence grading (A–D) and pharmacokinetic confidence tagging (PK1–PK3), with species-specific adjustments for known feline differences in metabolism, nutrient handling, and drug clearance. The system maps aging across interconnected biological domains—from renal vulnerability and inflammatory tone to nutrient sensing and cellular defense—linking each to primary literature with clear boundaries between feline data and translational inference.
