Pawever Plus for Dogs combines NMN and CoQ10 with a joint-focused recipe that includes green-lipped mussel, glucosamine, curcumin and collagen. It merits consideration when those are the ingredients you want in your dog's daily routine. 1

Our choice for daily energy and antioxidant nutrition is Hollywood Elixir (HE). Its complete 17-active formula brings NAD+ building blocks and CoQ10 together with reduced glutathione, riboflavin and supporting antioxidants. Glutathione helps remove reactive peroxide, while riboflavin contributes to its recycling system—ingredients for protecting cells alongside those involved in powering them. 2 5 6 7

Start with the ingredients you want to keep

Pawever Plus is the multi-ingredient dog formula. The brand's single-NMN dog capsule is a separate purchase. Plus adds joint-focused ingredients to NMN, including green-lipped mussel, glucosamine, curcumin, boswellia, collagen and hyaluronic acid. 1

If you already give a joint supplement, identify which ingredients you intend to continue before switching. HE has a different recipe: it brings cellular energy and antioxidant support into the daily meal. It does not supply all the joint ingredients in Plus.

The complete current Pawever Plus dog formula

The full panel declares these 11 actives per capsule: 1

  • Green-lipped mussel powder 200 mg; glucosamine HCl 200 mg; NMN 100 mg.
  • Curcumin phytosome 75 mg; boswellia serrata 50 mg; collagen peptides type II 40 mg.
  • Concentrated fish oil 40 mg; hyaluronic acid 25 mg; CoQ10 10 mg.
  • Vitamin E 7 mg; manganese sulphate 3 mg.

Supporting ingredients are a gelatin capsule, silicon dioxide, rice starch and chicken flavour identified as hydrolyzed protein. Use this complete panel when checking the product; an older nine-ingredient gallery graphic depicts a different list.

Green-lipped mussel has relevant canine research

Pawever's green-lipped mussel deserves consideration as a joint ingredient. In a placebo-controlled study of 81 dogs with presumed mild-to-moderate degenerative joint disease, a greater proportion receiving a particular mussel extract showed improved signs at day 56. The musculoskeletal score difference was only marginal, and there had been no significant group difference at day 28. 3

That supports interest in the ingredient without promising that every dog will respond. The study tested a specific extract, not Pawever's 200 mg powder or its complete Plus recipe.

Curcumin and collagen need their preparation names

Plus specifies curcumin phytosome and type II collagen peptides. Those names matter when matching research. Its dog collagen is not labelled undenatured type II collagen. 1

A three-month canine study tested a diet combining a curcuminoid/phosphatidylcholine preparation, hydrolyzed collagen and green-tea extract. Of 48 randomized dogs, 42 completed the study. Some pain-related measures favored the test diet; the primary force-plate measure did not differ between groups. 4

This gives the combination a research rationale, but the diet and its quantities differ from Plus. It cannot isolate what Pawever's curcumin or collagen amount will do.

Both formulas include NAD+ building blocks and CoQ10

Pawever supplies NMN; HE supplies NR tartrate. Both are building blocks for NAD+, which participates in drawing energy from food. Their printed weights describe different precursor materials, not a clinical potency ranking. 1 2 8 9

As nutrients break down, NAD+ accepts electrons and becomes NADH. NADH carries those electrons into mitochondrial energy-producing machinery. CoQ10 carries electrons onward through that machinery as it produces ATP, the molecule cells use to power their work. 5

Both recipes therefore include ingredients involved at different points in energy production. Plus declares CoQ10 at 10 mg per capsule; HE declares 40 mg of its 98% CoQ10 preparation per full sachet. CoQ10 is a shared strength.

“NAD+ building blocks and CoQ10 contribute at different points in turning food energy into ATP.”

Glutathione helps protect cells from reactive peroxide

Normal metabolism produces reactive oxygen molecules. They help with signaling, but their reactivity can also damage cellular components. Antioxidant defenses convert them into less reactive products. 6

Reduced glutathione participates in one of those defenses: the enzyme glutathione peroxidase uses it to turn hydrogen peroxide into water. Removing reactive peroxide helps protect cells while they carry out everyday work. 6

HE includes 50 mg reduced glutathione per full sachet alongside its energy-related nutrients. That adds a specific antioxidant component to the daily recipe; Plus does not list glutathione. 1 2

Riboflavin contributes to glutathione recycling

Glutathione changes to an oxidized form when it participates in peroxide removal. Another enzyme, glutathione reductase, regenerates the reduced form so it can be used again. That enzyme uses FAD, a cofactor made from vitamin B2, and draws on NADPH to drive the reaction. 7

HE supplies riboflavin, or B2, at 0.5 mg per full sachet, together with reduced glutathione. Its antioxidant composition includes both glutathione and a vitamin involved in its recycling system, alongside vitamins C and E. 2

The complete 17-active Hollywood Elixir recipe

These functions sit within HE's full healthy-aging formula. Per full 2.5 g sachet, its current declarations are: 2

  • Energy-related nutrients: NR tartrate 60 mg; CoQ10 98% preparation 40 mg; niacin 2 mg; riboflavin 0.5 mg; vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate 1 mg; methylcobalamin B12 1% preparation 0.25 mg.
  • Glutathione and antioxidant ingredients: reduced glutathione 50 mg; vitamin C 10 mg; vitamin E 15 IU; resveratrol 98% extract 15 mg; quercetin dihydrate 95% preparation 25 mg; natural astaxanthin 2% preparation 2 mg.
  • Other active components: beta glucan 50 mg; reishi preparation standardized to 35% polysaccharides 25 mg; spirulina 50 mg; blueberry 50 mg; whey protein isolate 90% preparation 250 mg.

Preparation strengths stay attached to their weights. The complete ingredient panel identifies all forms and supporting ingredients. Choosing HE brings this full energy and antioxidant composition into the portion added to the dog's food.

Fish oil quantity is different from EPA and DHA quantity

Plus includes concentrated fish oil as well as green-lipped mussel. Its panel declares 40 mg fish oil per capsule, without specifying the amounts of EPA and DHA, two omega-3 fatty acids often listed separately on fish-oil products. 1

You cannot read 40 mg of oil as 40 mg of EPA plus DHA. If a particular omega-3 intake is part of your dog's existing routine, check those quantities before substituting Plus. HE has no declared fish oil, so choosing it also leaves that separate decision in place. 2

Ingredient research is not a finished-formula result

The joint studies above concern particular ingredients or diets. The canine NMN research reviewed here also has narrower aims: a 14-day exposure study in ten beagles and an inflammatory-marker experiment with five NMN recipients among 17 retired police dogs. 9 10

These findings do not establish that the retail Plus or HE formula extends canine lifespan, treats arthritis or outperforms the other. Normal energy and antioxidant biology explains our formula preference; it does not prove oral absorption or clinical synergy of the finished recipe. The purchase is an optional nutritional addition, with health outcomes kept separate from ingredient design.

Check the published weight bands before ordering Plus

Pawever's gallery directs one capsule up to 9 kg, two at 10–19 kg and three above 20 kg. Its current variant selector instead uses up to 9 kg, 10–25 kg and above 25 kg. 1

These versions disagree for part of the 20–25 kg range; the gallery also leaves 9–10 kg and above 19 through 20 kg unclear. For an affected weight, confirm the current jar's direction with Pawever before selecting a daily amount.

The full label says to use under veterinarian directions, excludes pregnant or lactating dogs, advises stopping if adverse effects occur and specifies storage below 25°C.

The small, medium and large jars have different counts

The current front panels show 30 capsules for small dogs, 60 for medium dogs and 90 for large dogs. A general FAQ answer saying 30 capsules does not describe all three variants. 1

At unambiguous example weights, a 5-kg dog receives one capsule, a 15-kg dog two and a 30-kg dog three under either published grouping. The corresponding jar lasts 30 days in each example. Keep those examples separate from weights affected by the conflicting instructions.

Both products can be mixed into a meal

Pawever permits opening its capsule over food. HE powder is also added to food, so neither option requires a dog to swallow a whole capsule. Food acceptance still depends on the dog. 1 11

HE's adult-dog guidance is half a full sachet below 7 lb, one at 7–30 lb and two above 30 lb. A full sachet is 2.5 g. Choose the pack for that actual portion: Standard 90 supplies 90 full-sachet days, while Lite 90 supplies 90 half-sachet days. 11

What each daily routine costs

On the Australian Pawever page, current one-time prices are AUD69.99 for small, AUD84.99 for medium and AUD99.99 for large. The lower recurring prices are a separate purchase option. At the clear 5-, 15- and 30-kg examples above, three corresponding jars cover 90 days for AUD209.97, AUD254.97 and AUD299.97 respectively. 1

HE's one-time 90-day options are USD199 for Lite 90 or Standard 90, and USD379 for Double 180, according to the adult dog's portion. Different currencies and delivery conditions prevent a bare-dollar price ranking. 11

With Plus, you buy NMN and CoQ10 alongside its joint-focused ingredients. With HE, you buy daily energy nutrition together with reduced glutathione, B vitamins and supporting antioxidants in the complete 17-active recipe.

The quality information you can inspect

Pawever describes independent accredited US laboratory batch testing, including heavy metals and contaminants, and offers recent reports by email. That is its stated program; a report for the bottle you would receive was not supplied for this review. 1

HE's COA lookup provides available lot records. The inspected NutraSky record for lot 2604066 is a manufacturer quality summary with microbial, heavy-metal and active-ingredient entries and their stated methods. Match the bottle's lot and read the particular report's scope. 12

Check the food sources against your dog’s restrictions

Pawever's full label identifies fish, chicken and shellfish. Its capsule is gelatin, and the flavour is hydrolyzed chicken protein. HE includes chicken flavour, chicken liver powder and milk-derived whey, with yeast extract, glycine and hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin among its supporting ingredients. 1 2

Use these complete lists when a known food restriction affects the choice. For a dog taking medication or following a prescribed diet, bring both labels into the same review of its existing care.

Consolidate deliberately rather than stacking by default

An all-in-one purchase can change several parts of an existing routine. Write down the ingredients being replaced, especially a selected joint or omega-3 product. HE does not list green-lipped mussel, glucosamine, boswellia, collagen or hyaluronic acid; moving to it does not continue those ingredients. 1 2

Combining Plus with HE instead repeats NAD+ precursor and CoQ10 supplementation without an established combined benefit in the sources reviewed. Preserve a clinician-selected care plan, and have new pain or stiffness assessed rather than treating a formula switch as the answer. The dog longevity supplement guide compares other named options.

Our choice for daily energy and antioxidant nutrition

Pawever Plus is worth considering when you specifically want its joint-focused ingredient combination alongside NMN and CoQ10.

We recommend Hollywood Elixir for an adult dog's daily energy and antioxidant nutrition. Its 17-active formula brings NAD+ building blocks and CoQ10 together with reduced glutathione and supporting nutrients in the regular meal.

FAQ

Is Pawever Plus the same as the single-NMN dog capsule?

No. Plus is a separate multi-ingredient joint and aging formula. It combines NMN with CoQ10, green-lipped mussel, glucosamine, curcumin, boswellia, collagen and other actives. Match the full product name and current dog panel when comparing bottles.

What are the 11 current Plus dog actives?

Per capsule: green-lipped mussel powder 200 mg, glucosamine HCl 200 mg, NMN 100 mg, curcumin phytosome 75 mg, boswellia serrata 50 mg, collagen peptides type II 40 mg, concentrated fish oil 40 mg, hyaluronic acid 25 mg, CoQ10 10 mg, vitamin E 7 mg and manganese sulphate 3 mg.

Is its collagen undenatured type II collagen?

The inspected dog panel declares collagen peptides type II at 40 mg per capsule. It does not label that ingredient undenatured. Keep the preparation name attached when reading studies; a different species product or collagen form is not interchangeable evidence.

Does HE add CoQ10 that Pawever Plus lacks?

Both contain CoQ10. Plus declares 10 mg per capsule; HE declares 40 mg of its 98% preparation per full sachet. HE also includes reduced glutathione for peroxide-removing antioxidant reactions and riboflavin, which contributes to glutathione recycling, within its complete 17-active formula.

What research supports the joint ingredients?

A canine placebo-controlled trial of a specific green-lipped mussel extract found more dogs with improved signs by day 56, with mixed results across measures. A separate diet study combining curcuminoids, hydrolyzed collagen and green tea improved some pain-related measures without a difference in its primary force-plate measure. Neither tested the finished Plus formula.

Why do the published weight instructions need checking?

The gallery says one capsule up to 9 kg, two at 10–19 kg and three above 20 kg. The selector instead uses up to 9 kg, 10–25 kg and above 25 kg. The gallery also leaves 9–10 kg and above 19 through 20 kg unclear. Confirm the current direction with Pawever for an affected weight; do not silently fill those gaps.

How many capsules are in each jar?

The current small, medium and large fronts show 30, 60 and 90 capsules respectively. At clear example weights of 5, 15 and 30 kg, the corresponding one-, two- and three-capsule daily amounts make each jar last 30 days. The generic 30-capsule FAQ does not describe every variant.

What are the one-time prices?

Pawever’s Australian prices are AUD69.99, AUD84.99 and AUD99.99 for small, medium and large. The lower recurring prices are separate. HE’s Lite 90 and Standard 90 cost USD199; Double 180 costs USD379. Match the dog’s portion and remember that AUD and USD are different currencies.

What testing information is available?

Pawever describes independent accredited US laboratory batch testing and offers recent reports by email. HE provides available lot-specific manufacturer quality records through its COA lookup. Match the actual lot and inspect the reported tests and methods; a quality record is not a clinical outcome study.

Can I combine them, and which food sources matter?

Combining them repeats precursor and CoQ10 supplementation without an established combined benefit in the reviewed sources. Pawever identifies fish, chicken and shellfish; HE includes chicken and milk-derived whey. Check complete labels and preserve prescribed care. HE does not replace the joint ingredients or fish oil in Plus.

Discover LPL-01: How This Fits Into a Larger Canine Longevity System

Aging in dogs is not driven by a single pathway. It’s the result of interacting biological systems—energy metabolism, oxidative stress, immune signaling, and structural integrity—changing over time.

This article explores one piece of that puzzle. If you want to understand how these pieces connect—and what actually moves the needle—you need to zoom out.

Start with the underlying science:
