Pawever NMN for Cats offers a focused daily NMN addition: one active at 80 mg per capsule, with powder that can be sprinkled over food. It is a reasonable option for an owner who specifically wants that single precursor ingredient. 1

Our choice for an adult cat's daily healthy-aging nutrition is Hollywood Elixir. Its complete 17-active formula combines NAD+ building blocks with CoQ10 for cellular energy production and reduced glutathione for antioxidant defense. That brings energy-related and antioxidant nutrition together in the addition to a regular meal. 2 4 5

The cat capsule this review covers

Pawever NMN for Cats is the 30-capsule, single-active product. It gives an owner a defined NMN addition with a cat-specific daily direction. Pawever Plus is a different, multi-ingredient formula; the brand's dog capsule is also a separate product. 1

For the dog product, use our Pawever NMN dog comparison. The cat choice here is between a focused NMN addition and Hollywood Elixir's complete daily energy and antioxidant formula. Both can be added to food, so the decision starts with the recipe rather than whether your cat will swallow a capsule.

How does Pawever NMN for Cats compare with Hollywood Elixir?

Pawever NMN for Cats supplies 80 mg NMN per capsule, with one capsule directed daily and 30 capsules per bottle. Hollywood Elixir combines NAD+ building blocks with CoQ10 for cellular energy production and reduced glutathione for antioxidant defense in its complete 17-active formula. We recommend HE for that daily energy and antioxidant composition. Both can be mixed into food. Pawever’s linked NMN studies involve dogs, so they do not establish a clinical result for its cat capsule.

What the complete Pawever label contains

The current full panel declares 80 mg NMN per capsule, with 30 servings per bottle. NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, is the sole listed active ingredient. The supporting ingredients are a gelatin capsule, silicon dioxide, rice starch and chicken flavour identified as hydrolyzed protein. 1

The page also describes a small chicken-collagen carrier. For checking food restrictions, use the complete panel above: a single active does not mean the product contains literally one ingredient. There is no quantified collagen active on this label to compare with a dedicated collagen supplement.

NMN and NR are different NAD+ building blocks

NMN and nicotinamide riboside, or NR, are precursors the body can use to make NAD+. NAD+ participates in energy metabolism, including the reactions that help cells draw energy from food. 3 7

Pawever declares NMN at 80 mg per capsule. HE declares NR tartrate at 60 mg per full 2.5 g sachet. These are different materials with different serving instructions. The two label numbers do not establish which product is more potent or produces a better result in cats. 1 2

HE's recipe extends the nutritional choice beyond a precursor. CoQ10 contributes to another part of energy production, while glutathione has a separate antioxidant role.

CoQ10 helps carry food energy toward ATP

As nutrients from food are broken down, NAD+ accepts electrons and becomes NADH. NADH carries those electrons into the energy-producing machinery inside mitochondria. CoQ10 carries electrons onward through that machinery, helping the process that produces ATP. ATP is the energy-carrying molecule cells use to do their work. 4

NAD+ and CoQ10 therefore contribute at different points in the same energy system. That is why we value them together in daily nutrition: the recipe includes an NAD+ building block and a component of the machinery that uses food-derived energy.

HE supplies 40 mg of its 98% CoQ10 preparation per full sachet, alongside NR tartrate and B vitamins. Pawever's single-active capsule supplies NMN without CoQ10. 1 2

Glutathione supports the cell’s peroxide defenses

Normal cellular activity produces reactive oxygen molecules. They have useful signaling roles, but their reactivity can also damage cellular components. Antioxidant defenses help keep that chemistry under control by turning reactive molecules into less reactive products. 5

Reduced glutathione participates in one of those defenses. An enzyme called glutathione peroxidase uses it in a reaction that converts hydrogen peroxide into water. Removing reactive peroxide helps protect cells as they continue their everyday work. 5

HE includes 50 mg reduced glutathione per full sachet, together with vitamins C and E and other antioxidant ingredients. Adding that glutathione-containing recipe alongside energy-related nutrients is the core of our HE recommendation: the daily formula supplies ingredients involved in producing cellular energy and in protecting the cells using it. 2

The complete 17-active Hollywood Elixir formula

The energy and antioxidant components sit within HE's full healthy-aging system. These are the current declarations per full 2.5 g sachet: 2

  • Energy-related nutrients: NR tartrate 60 mg; CoQ10 98% preparation 40 mg; niacin 2 mg; riboflavin 0.5 mg; vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate 1 mg; methylcobalamin B12 1% preparation 0.25 mg.
  • Glutathione and antioxidant ingredients: reduced glutathione 50 mg; vitamin C 10 mg; vitamin E 15 IU; resveratrol 98% extract 15 mg; quercetin dihydrate 95% preparation 25 mg; natural astaxanthin 2% preparation 2 mg.
  • Other active components: beta glucan 50 mg; reishi preparation standardized to 35% polysaccharides 25 mg; spirulina 50 mg; blueberry 50 mg; whey protein isolate 90% preparation 250 mg.

The preparation descriptions belong with their weights. For example, 0.25 mg is the declared B12 1% preparation amount. The complete ingredient panel identifies the precise forms and supporting ingredients. These full-sachet amounts are halved when the adult cat's guidance calls for a half portion.

What the linked NMN studies establish for cats

Pawever's product page uses the wording “Clinically Studied In Cats.” Its linked science page, however, identifies the NMN research as involving dogs and other mammals. The two original studies it links do not establish a clinical result for this cat capsule. 1 6

You and colleagues studied short oral exposure in ten adult beagles over 14 days, including laboratory safety measures. Zeng and colleagues included five NMN recipients within a 17-dog intervention experiment and reported before-and-after inflammatory-marker changes. Neither study tested a retail formula in cats. 7 8

For both products, normal biology and an ingredient's research rationale are different from demonstrated benefits of the finished formula in cats. The sources reviewed here establish neither a feline lifespan extension nor a clinical head-to-head advantage. Our recommendation for HE rests on its nutritional design, not a promise that a cat will become more active or live longer.

When the focused NMN option makes sense

An owner may deliberately want one specified active rather than a multi-ingredient supplement. Pawever meets that preference with a declared NMN amount and one-capsule daily direction. It allows the owner to select NMN without also selecting a combination of joint-support ingredients. 1

That is a fair reason to consider it. A shorter active list does not by itself demonstrate greater purity, better tolerance or a better health outcome. HE suits the different purchase: energy-related nutrients and a glutathione-containing antioxidant formula together, with the complete recipe disclosed.

Pawever NMN and Pawever Plus are separate products

The Plus name matters. Pawever presents Plus as a multi-ingredient joint and healthy-aging formula, while this cat capsule has NMN as its sole declared active. The current science page also discusses a cat Plus reformulation. Its ingredients belong to that particular product and version. 1 6

When checking a bottle or review, match the full product name, species and current panel. A benefit discussion about Plus's additional ingredients does not describe what the single-NMN capsule supplies. Likewise, the directions on a dog bottle do not determine the cat capsule's serving.

For the separate joint and healthy-aging combination, see our Pawever Plus for Cats comparison.

A human NMN product is a separate choice

A human product that says NMN on the front is not automatically equivalent to this cat capsule. Check the quantity per capsule and the complete list of accompanying ingredients; both can differ from Pawever's 80 mg, chicken-flavoured product. 1

Do not divide a human serving by body weight to invent a cat direction. Bring the exact product label to the veterinarian when considering such a substitution. That allows the actual formulation and the cat's existing food and care plan to be considered, rather than treating a shared ingredient name as a complete answer.

“Pawever’s current cat capsule contains 80 mg NMN, with one capsule directed daily.”

Pawever’s actual cat direction and bottle duration

Pawever's cat directions specify one capsule daily for all cats. At that labelled rate, the 30-capsule bottle lasts 30 days. The capsule may be given whole or opened and sprinkled over food. There are no cat weight bands on the inspected direction graphic. 1

The full panel says to use under veterinarian directions, identifies chicken, excludes pregnant or lactating cats and advises stopping if adverse effects occur. It also directs cool, dry storage below 25°C. Follow the full label alongside the daily amount.

The HE portion for an adult cat

HE has its own adult-cat guidance: half a full sachet below 7 lb, one full sachet at 7–30 lb and two above 30 lb. A full sachet is 2.5 g. Choose the portion using the adult cat’s current weight. 9

For a 10-lb adult cat, one full sachet is the daily portion, so Standard 90 supplies 90 days. Below 7 lb, Lite 90 supplies 90 half portions. The full-sachet ingredient panel remains the reference for understanding the formula; the smaller daily portion supplies half those declarations. 2 9

Tabby cat licking its nose beside a food bowl and Hollywood Elixir box

Both formulas depend on food acceptance

Pawever's capsule can be opened over food, and HE is a powder added to food. A cat therefore need not swallow the Pawever capsule whole to use it as directed. 1 9

Chicken flavour does not guarantee acceptance. In the two product reviews visible on Pawever's page, one owner reported that the cats would not eat the food, while the other left a brief positive comment about a 13-year-old cat. That small, mixed sample answers neither how most cats will respond nor whether the supplement changes health. 1

Choose a format your cat will actually consume without displacing the regular meal. If supplemented food is refused, do not count the offered amount as an amount eaten. Persistent appetite changes deserve attention separately from the supplement choice.

What each daily routine costs

Prices checked October 5, 2026, before shipping and any applicable taxes. The currencies differ, so keep them visible: 1 9

  • Pawever NMN for Cats: the Australian one-time price is AUD49.99 for 30 capsules, or 30 days at one daily. Three bottles for 90 days total AUD149.97. The separately displayed AUD42.49 recurring price is a subscription option.
  • HE for a 10-lb adult cat: Standard 30 costs USD89 and Standard 90 costs USD199, supplying 30 and 90 daily full-sachet portions respectively. Below 7 lb, Lite 90 is USD199 for 90 half portions.

The bare dollar figures are not a valid currency-adjusted price ranking. Your delivered total also depends on destination and checkout conditions.

With Pawever, you buy the focused NMN capsule. With HE, each daily portion brings together NR, CoQ10, reduced glutathione, vitamins and the rest of its 17-active recipe. The purchase includes energy and antioxidant nutrition together; the full ingredient list and the cat's portion show exactly what is included.

The quality information available for each product

Pawever states that batches undergo testing at an independent accredited US laboratory, including checks for heavy metals and contaminants. It offers recent results by email. That is a described testing program; no certificate for the bottle you would receive was supplied for this review. 1

HE's COA lookup provides access to available lot records. The inspected record for lot 2604066 is a manufacturer quality summary containing microbial, heavy-metal and active-ingredient entries with their stated results and methods. Match the lot and read the scope of the individual record. 10

Both kinds of information are relevant to a purchasing check. A company's testing description explains its program, while a matching report shows the information reported for a particular lot. Neither document measures how a cat will feel or how long it will live.

Fit the supplement around complete cat food

Complete, balanced cat food remains the nutritional foundation. Cornell's feline feeding guidance explains that a balanced diet ordinarily supplies the nutrients cats need; adding supplements is not automatically necessary. An optional healthy-aging product should fit around that food and any prescribed care. 11

Check the whole recipe for restrictions. Pawever's panel identifies chicken and a gelatin capsule. HE includes chicken flavour, chicken liver powder and milk-derived whey, as well as yeast extract, glycine and hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin. 1 2

A cat's medical condition, medication or known food reaction may change whether either formula fits. Discuss both full labels on the same basis when individual advice is needed; neither brand name resolves those details.

Choose one approach without duplicating the routine

Decide whether the intended addition is focused NMN or a complete energy and antioxidant recipe. Adding Pawever to HE repeats NAD+ precursor supplementation, even though the precursors have different names. There is no established combined benefit in the sources reviewed here that makes stacking them a necessary next step. 1 2

Keep a prescribed nutritional need separate from this optional choice. A therapeutic diet or clinician-selected supplement should continue unless the care plan changes. To compare other named formulas and formats, use the cat longevity supplement guide.

FAQ

What is in the current Pawever NMN cat capsule?

Each capsule declares 80 mg NMN as the single active. The complete supporting ingredient list is a gelatin capsule, silicon dioxide, rice starch and chicken flavour identified as hydrolyzed protein. The bottle contains 30 capsules. A short description of chicken collagen is not a substitute for the full panel.

How much Pawever NMN does the cat label direct?

The current cat direction is one capsule daily for all cats, giving 30 days per bottle. It may be given whole or opened over food. The full label says to use under veterinarian directions, excludes pregnant or lactating cats, identifies chicken and advises stopping if adverse effects occur. Do not derive a cat amount from the dog product.

Does 80 mg NMN beat 60 mg NR tartrate?

Those printed weights do not establish a potency or outcome ranking. Pawever declares 80 mg NMN per capsule; HE declares 60 mg NR tartrate per full 2.5 g sachet. Both are NAD+ precursor ingredients, but their material identities and daily portions differ.

What do CoQ10 and glutathione add to HE?

CoQ10 carries electrons in the mitochondrial machinery involved in ATP production. Reduced glutathione participates in antioxidant reactions that remove reactive peroxide. HE includes both alongside NAD+ building blocks and supporting nutrients in its complete 17-active formula for adult cats.

Do Pawever’s linked studies prove benefits in cats?

The linked NMN studies reviewed here involve dogs: a short beagle exposure study and an intervention experiment involving retired police dogs. They do not establish a clinical result for Pawever’s cat capsule or substantiate its feline study badge. These sources also do not establish feline lifespan extension or clinical superiority for HE.

Is Pawever NMN for Cats the same as Pawever Plus?

No. The NMN capsule has one declared active; Plus is a separate multi-ingredient joint and healthy-aging formula. Match the product name, species and current panel, particularly while the Plus cat formula changes. Do not transfer its additional ingredients into the single-NMN product.

Must my cat swallow the capsule, and will it eat the powder?

Pawever permits opening the capsule and sprinkling it over food; HE is also added to food. Neither format or chicken flavour guarantees acceptance. The two visible Pawever product reviews included one report of food refusal and one brief positive comment, too small a sample to predict your cat’s response.

What does Pawever cost, and is the lower price a subscription?

The Australian page shows AUD49.99 for a one-time 30-capsule bottle and AUD42.49 for the separate recurring option. At one capsule daily, three one-time bottles supply 90 days for AUD149.97 before shipping. HE’s Standard 90 is USD199; the different currencies prevent ranking those figures as equivalent dollars.

What testing information can I check?

Pawever describes independent accredited US laboratory batch testing, including heavy metals and contaminants, and offers recent results by email. HE makes available lot-specific manufacturer quality records through its COA lookup. Match the lot and read the reported scope; neither a testing program nor a quality report proves a health outcome.

Can I combine them, and what food ingredients matter?

Combining the formulas repeats NAD+ precursor supplementation without an established combined benefit in the sources reviewed. Pawever contains chicken and a gelatin capsule; HE includes chicken and milk-derived whey. Check the complete food and supplement labels, preserve prescribed care and obtain individual advice when a condition, medication or food restriction affects the choice.

Discover LPL-01: How This Fits Into a Larger Feline Longevity System

Aging in cats unfolds quietly. It’s not driven by a single failure, but by gradual shifts across interconnected systems — cellular energy, oxidative balance, immune tone, and tissue integrity — each influencing the others over time.

This article explores one layer of that system. To understand what actually shapes long-term health, you need to step back and look at how these layers interact.

Start with the underlying science:
