What Pawfy puts in one soft chew

Pawfy's current manufacturer page lists these amounts per soft chew, described as 4 g: 1

  • Blueberry, brewer's yeast and olive leaf extract: 25 mg each.

Those are per-chew figures, not universal daily figures. A dog taking two chews receives twice each declaration; three chews supply three times each one. The current weight bands appear below.

The omega-3 line deserves careful reading. It says 8 mg of omega 3 from fish oil, with no separate EPA or DHA amount. That is useful ingredient information, but it does not describe the same serving as a dedicated fish-oil product with those fatty acids quantified.

Why NMN and fucoidan appear together

NMN is a building block for NAD+, a molecule cells use in energy metabolism and other processes. Pawfy connects that NAD+ story with SIRT6, an enzyme involved in regulating cellular processes, including gene activity and DNA repair. SIRT6 uses NAD+ in its work. 1 3

That biological connection explains the interest in pairing an NAD+ precursor with a fucoidan ingredient studied in relation to SIRT6. It does not mean that two ingredients on a label have been shown to work together in the dog eating the chew.

HE uses nicotinamide riboside, or NR, declared as NR tartrate. Both products therefore begin with NAD+ support, through different precursor ingredients. The printed NMN and NR-tartrate weights describe their respective materials; they do not establish a winner in canine potency. 2

Fucoidan is a family of seaweed ingredients

Fucoidans are complex, sulfated carbohydrates found in brown seaweeds. Their composition varies with the seaweed and preparation. Pawfy identifies its source as bladderwrack, which is more informative than a label that only says seaweed. 1 3

The distinction matters when reading research. Scientists may study a purified fraction, a particular commercial extract or an oligo-fucoidan preparation made up of smaller molecules. Those materials can behave differently even though they share the fucoidan name.

For the buyer, the useful question is whether a study tested a comparable preparation. The ingredient name alone cannot transfer a finding from an experimental extract to the 50 mg in a retail chew.

What the SIRT6 research actually found

An original 2017 study found that certain brown-algae extracts and fucoidan preparations increased SIRT6 activity in biochemical assays. The experiments used the enzyme and controlled laboratory substrates. They supplied a reason to investigate fucoidan, rather than an observed effect in dogs taking a supplement. 3

Research has continued beyond that early assay. A 2025 preprint studied specific fucoidans in cells and mice, reporting effects on cellular senescence and inflammatory activity. The preparations did not all behave alike. The current original record identifies this work as a preprint that has not been peer reviewed. 4

Together, these studies make fucoidan an interesting ingredient with an evolving research story. Neither tested Pawfy Longevity Complex or established that its chew changes SIRT6 activity or lifespan in healthy dogs.

Both formulas connect NAD+ support with CoQ10

As cells break down nutrients from food, NAD+ can accept electrons and become NADH. NADH supplies electrons to the mitochondrial machinery that produces ATP, an energy-carrying molecule used for cellular work. CoQ10 carries electrons onward within that machinery. 5

This is why CoQ10 belongs in an energy-nutrition discussion alongside an NAD+ precursor. Pawfy already supplies CoQ10, at 5 mg per chew. Why reduced glutathione belongs beside energy nutrition

Normal cellular activity produces reactive oxygen molecules. They have useful signaling roles, but their reactivity can also damage cells. The body has antioxidant defenses that convert them into less reactive products. 6

One of those defenses uses reduced glutathione. An enzyme called glutathione peroxidase uses it to turn hydrogen peroxide into water. Removing reactive peroxide helps cells protect themselves from oxidative damage as they carry out their everyday work. 6

HE supplies 50 mg reduced glutathione per full 2.5 g sachet, alongside its NAD+ building blocks, CoQ10, vitamins C and E and other ingredients. Pawfy includes several antioxidants but does not list glutathione. Hollywood Elixir is a 17-active healthy-aging system. Per full 2.5 g sachet, its declared recipe contains: 2

  • Energy-related nutrients: NR tartrate 60 mg; CoQ10 98% preparation 40 mg; niacin 2 mg; riboflavin 0.5 mg; vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate 1 mg; and methylcobalamin B12 1% preparation 0.25 mg.
  • Glutathione and antioxidant ingredients: reduced glutathione 50 mg; vitamin C 10 mg; vitamin E 15 IU; resveratrol 98% extract 15 mg; quercetin dihydrate 95% preparation 25 mg; and natural astaxanthin 2% preparation 2 mg.
  • The remaining formula: beta glucan 50 mg; reishi preparation standardized to 35% polysaccharides 25 mg; spirulina 50 mg; blueberry 50 mg; and whey protein isolate 90% preparation 250 mg.

The preparation names belong with their amounts: for example, 2 mg of a 2% astaxanthin material is the declared preparation weight. The complete ingredient panel also lists chicken flavor, chicken liver powder, yeast extract, glycine and hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin.

Does Pawfy replace a fish-oil supplement?

A longevity chew containing fish oil is not automatically an equivalent replacement for the omega-3 product already in a dog's routine. Pawfy's current declaration is 8 mg omega 3 from fish oil per chew; EPA and DHA are not separately quantified. 1

If EPA and DHA are the reason you give fish oil, compare those actual fatty-acid quantities with the existing product. Ask for the missing amounts before treating the chew as a substitute, particularly when a veterinarian has selected a specific routine.

HE does not list a fish-oil ingredient. Choosing its energy and antioxidant formula therefore does not continue a separate fish-oil plan either. These are different nutritional purchases, and the longevity label does not make them interchangeable.

The rest of Pawfy’s antioxidant recipe

Pawfy also contains vitamin E, blueberry, olive leaf extract and curcumin, alongside the organic black pepper ingredient. CoQ10 and vitamin E are present in both products, and both list blueberry. Pawfy has a substantive combination beyond its two headline ingredients. 1 2

An owner who specifically wants its curcumin, olive leaf and fucoidan combination can reasonably prefer that recipe. Black pepper on the panel does not, by itself, establish greater absorption of every ingredient in the finished chew.

HE takes a different route through reduced glutathione, antioxidant vitamins, resveratrol, quercetin and its other ingredients. The choice concerns the complete recipe and its functions, rather than which brand can claim to have antioxidants at all.

What dog research can and cannot settle

Fucoidan has also been studied in dogs, although in a very different setting. A double-blinded study followed 100 dogs receiving chemotherapy and compared an oligo-fucoidan preparation with placebo. It found no significant difference in median overall quality of life, while five of 23 individual measures improved in the supplemented group. That preparation and population were not Pawfy chews and healthy dogs. 7

This is the central evidence boundary for the purchase. The ingredient research and normal biological functions discussed here explain reasons for choosing a formulation. They do not establish that either Pawfy or HE extends a dog's life, prevents disease or produces a superior clinical result.
