KittyGoHere is worth considering for a cat that needs an open pan with a lower doorway. The Small and Large Senior pans have manufacturer-listed 3-inch entrances; Easy-Entry adds two doorways and 6-inch side and back walls. Choose the layout before choosing the color. This review is based on current product documents, not hands-on use. 1 2 3

Small and Large describe different pan sizes, while Easy-Entry changes the doorway arrangement. 1 2 3

Retailer exterior dimensions are useful for room planning, but they do not establish the usable floor inside. 5

A low entrance helps address the crossing task; no product label can establish that a particular cat will use the pan comfortably. 6

Where this design makes sense

The case for KittyGoHere is straightforward: an open pan with a lower section to cross, without a hood or moving cleaning mechanism. The Small and Large pages both specify a 3-inch entrance, so choosing Large does not require accepting a taller entrance. 1 2 That is useful when a buyer needs more room without making the doorway higher.

The design is less convincing if the main problem is a guarded location, a slippery approach or a new medical change. A different pan can inherit those problems. It may also be the wrong layout if urine regularly goes toward the opening; the lower doorway cannot contain waste as high as the surrounding wall. Think about the direction of the approach and the space inside, not just the word senior. 6

Four names do not describe the same pan

The manufacturer currently lists Small, Large, Jumbo and Easy-Entry. Small and Large each have one low entrance in their product description. Jumbo has a 3-inch entrance without its removable gate; fitting the gate raises that entrance to 5 inches. Easy-Entry is a different two-entrance layout with 6-inch side and back walls; do not assume its opening height or floor size matches the other pans. 1 2 3 4

For exterior size, Chewy’s Small/Large table reports 20 × 15 × 5 inches and 24 × 20 × 5 inches respectively. Those are retailer-reported dimensions checked on October 25, 2026. The current manufacturer text reviewed here does not give matching floor dimensions. Treat the exterior numbers as a starting point for where the pan will sit, then confirm the exact variant and doorway position before ordering. 5

Measure the floor your cat will actually use

A molded pan can be wider at the rim than at the base. Chewy’s product answer describes sloping sides and curved corners; it also gives a general subtraction from exterior dimensions without establishing a clear, variant-specific rectangular floor measurement. We have not converted that answer into a claimed usable floor area. 5

Feline guidance recommends enough room to enter, turn, dig and eliminate, with a box length around one and a half times the cat’s nose-to-tail-base length. 6 That recommendation concerns the cat’s movement. A large exterior rim is not proof that the same space exists between the walls at litter level.

Before buying, ask for the inside length and width at the base, the opening width and the height from floor to the lowest entry edge. If the pan will sit in a nook, also check that the entrance can face an open approach. A footprint that fits perfectly between furniture may still leave no room for the cat to line up with the doorway.

Containment and cleaning are part of the choice

The Easy-Entry design offers two openings, which can give more placement choices. It also leaves two sections of the perimeter lower than its higher back and side walls. That is a genuine tradeoff: access routes and containment are different jobs. The manufacturer’s statement that the design helps contain litter is not a promise that it catches every high-directed stream of urine. 3

The Large manufacturer page identifies polypropylene and directs soap-and-water cleaning. It describes a reinforced bottom intended to resist warping under litter. 2 Plan the emptying and washing route around the larger pan, as well as the space it gives your cat.

Check that the exact pan will fit where you wash it. Preserve support underneath when handling it and follow the maker’s instructions; reinforced-bottom wording is not an unlimited loaded-carrying rating.

Choose the layout that leaves the whole task possible

Choose between the designs by doorway arrangement and confirmed interior room. Small is not automatically suitable because the cat is light, and Jumbo is not automatically better because the name is bigger. The cat needs to cross the opening, move fully inside and turn without the room layout getting in the way. 6

If the main requirement is a simple lower entrance with a larger pan, compare the Large dimensions with your current usable floor. If two approach directions would solve a placement constraint, examine Easy-Entry’s exact openings. If you need a Jumbo, obtain its current interior and exterior measurements first instead of borrowing the Large specification. For the wider room layout, see home modifications for senior cats. 2 3 4

If you need a taller rear wall with one low opening, or want to compare a uniformly shallow pan, see the low-entry litter-box selector for other current designs.

DVM Voice: Clinical Vignette of a Common Pattern in Senior Cat Aging

Case provided by JoAnna Pendergrass, DVM

Sasha, a 12-year-old cat, was brought in after her owner noticed increased thirst and urination, lethargy, vomiting, and a generally unkempt appearance. Examination showed weight loss, elevated blood pressure, and reduced vitality.

Diagnostic testing revealed elevated kidney markers, poorly concentrated urine, and protein loss in the urine — findings consistent with chronic kidney disease, one of the most common chronic conditions in senior cats.

Her care required a kidney-focused diet, blood pressure management, targeted supplementation, medication support, and regular monitoring — a necessary plan, but one started after clinical signs were already visible.

Clinical takeaway: Sasha’s case reflects why senior-cat wellness should begin before obvious decline. Earlier monitoring, body-condition tracking, hydration awareness, antioxidant support, and daily cellular resilience may help support quality of life as cats age.

Single-case vignette. Not generalizable. Veterinary diagnosis and monitoring are essential for increased thirst, urination, vomiting, lethargy, weight loss, or suspected kidney disease.

FAQ

How low is the KittyGoHere entrance?

The current Small and Large manufacturer pages state 3 inches. Jumbo has a 3-inch entrance without its removable gate, rising to 5 inches with the gate installed. Easy-Entry is a different two-doorway design; the captured text describes low openings and 6-inch side/back walls without establishing the same 3-inch entry specification. Check the exact model. 1 2 3 4

Are the listed dimensions the space my cat can use?

No. Chewy’s Small/Large table gives exterior dimensions. Its product answer describes sloping walls and curved corners, so usable floor space is smaller and is not a simple full rectangle. Confirm the exact inside measurements rather than assuming the rim footprint is the standing area. 5

How do you clean a KittyGoHere pan?

The Large pan’s maker specifies soap and water for its polypropylene surface. Check the care directions for the exact variant you buy, and make sure the larger pan can be emptied and washed where you intend to use it. 2

Who needs a larger pan or higher sides?

A cat that cannot turn fully inside needs more usable floor, regardless of body weight. Higher back and side walls address a different need: containment. Easy-Entry has listed 6-inch side/back walls but two low openings; check where your cat faces and where urine or litter travels before choosing that layout. 3 6

Discover LPL-01: How This Fits Into a Larger Feline Longevity System

Aging in cats unfolds quietly. It’s not driven by a single failure, but by gradual shifts across interconnected systems — cellular energy, oxidative balance, immune tone, and tissue integrity — each influencing the others over time.

This article explores one layer of that system. To understand what actually shapes long-term health, you need to step back and look at how these layers interact.
