Scope
- Review emerging research in mammalian aging and companion-animal healthspan.
- Evaluate interventions targeting age-associated functional decline.
- Advise on mitochondrial biology, cellular energetics, senescence, inflammaging, metabolic health, frailty, cognition, muscle preservation, and resilience.
- Assess translational relevance across dogs, cats, humans, and experimental models.
- Review mechanisms, biomarkers, proposed endpoints, and intervention hypotheses.
- Identify high-value research questions and evidence gaps.
- Contribute to scientific frameworks used in product and research decisions.
- Review selected research protocols, technical reports, and scientific communications.
Requirements
- PhD, DVM, MD, or equivalent terminal training in geroscience, aging biology, physiology, metabolism, comparative biology, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of postdoctoral, academic, clinical, or industry work directly relevant to aging biology.
- Strong peer-reviewed publication record.
- Deep familiarity with primary literature in aging and healthspan.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate translational evidence rather than mechanism alone.
- Strong experimental-design and scientific reasoning skills.
- Excellent technical writing.
